about us

Founded by Superintendent Wilbur D. Vincent in 1989. With five members, a burning desire to serve the Lord, and a mandate from God, Pastor Vincent set out to evangelize the city of Kent. Membership currently numbers at 400 and is increasing at a rate of 20-30 new members quarterly.

Center of Faith, COGIC is a ministry with a vision to build people of Purpose, Power and Praise through the teaching of God’s word and by reaching out into the community to help the hurting and the lost.

For 25 years in the City of Kent, Washington we have successfully served the needs of our diverse communities through a powerful delivery of the Gospel of Christ, community outreach and a dynamic youth ministry.

A man of vision and always sensitive to the move of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Vincent birthed and implemented several outreach ministries to include: prison ministry, feeding the elderly, youth and adult intervention, various benevolence ministries and community carnivals and jamborees.

In addition, the Northwest Believers Conference—a revival designed to tear-down racial and denominational barriers while winning souls for Christ--was birthed in 2001 with good success.

The Northwest Believers Conference has been host to such special guests as Bishop Paul Morton, Donnie McClurkin, Tye Tribbett, Tonex and the list goes on. Each year the conference grows in intensity and in attendance. As Center of Faith continues to grow in grace and in God's favor, we seek to build community alliances that expand the ministry's reach and increase our impact within the communities we serve.
